August Prayer Requests

Praying for one another is one of the most important things we do as a group. These are the requests our brothers brought forward this month. Please take a few minutes to read through them and carry these men and their families before the Lord.

If you have a request you would like added, email info@covenantbusinessleaders.com.

Our Brothers

Brett has a new baby on the way. Pray for a healthy delivery, for strength for Diana, and for the growing family. He is also looking at a vehicle change. Pray for provision and the right timing.

Landon asks for prayer for the son of a coworker, a fourteen-year-old boy in a very dark season. Pray for God's protection over his life, for healing in his mind and heart, for the right people around him, and for a family carrying a heavy weight right now.

Nick asks for prayer for time management and for the discipline to be fully present at home. Pray that work stays in its place and that his family gets the best of him, not what is left over.

Christopher asks for prayer for his twenty-three-year-old son, Holden. Pray that Holden would be drawn to Christ, that God would place him in a church family, and that the Lord would save him.

Grayson is coaching middle school basketball at WB. Pray for wisdom and patience with those boys, that he would be a steady example to them. Pray also for blessing and growth in his window cleaning business.

Sean is working to get Rookies, his ice cream company, into the Virginia Tech games. Pray for favor with the decision-makers and for that door to open. Pray also for a successful new 100-mile trail race, and for clear direction for CCA as they work through the issues with their current building.

Michael is walking through a new hire and a new house at the same time. Pray for wisdom and clarity in both decisions, and for peace amid the timing.

The Covenant Classic

The Inaugural Covenant Classic is October 23 at Hunting Hills Country Club, and every dollar raised goes to the Blue Ridge Women's Center and their Mobile Medical Unit. Our goal is to hand over $25,000.

Pray specifically for:

  • The field to fill. We need four-person teams committed and corporate sponsors at the top levels.

  • Favor with the businesses, vendors, and clients our men are approaching. Pray that doors open and that conversations turn into commitments.

  • Unity and energy among the men working the tournament, that no one carries this alone.

  • The women and families the Mobile Medical Unit will reach. The money is the means. Lives are the point.

Pray that we hold the goal and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ with the outcome, and work tightly, as it depends on our action and dependence on the Lord for his outcome.

Our Nonprofit Status

We are waiting on our official determination letter confirming our 501(c)(3) status. Until that comes through, we are limited in the donation platforms available to us, and the processing fees we are currently paying take a real bite out of every gift that comes in.

Pray for the paperwork to move quickly and cleanly, for favor in the process, and for wisdom as we choose the platform we move to once it is in hand. Every percentage point we save is money that goes to the Women's Center instead of a payment processor.
